If you’ve explored the mountain area in Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar during autumn, you’ve probably noticed the mushrooms growing under the trees. You can eat these mushrooms, process them, or sell them. Some villagers also appreciate receiving them as gifts. Besides picking mushrooms from the forest floor, you’ll later have the option to build a Mushroom Log, which gives you more space for mushroom cultivation.
Unlock the Mushroom Log with Arata
To unlock the Mushroom Log, you first need to play for a few hours and level up your bazaar to Level 3. You can do this by making sales and unlocking additional stalls, which are mostly unlocked through villagers’ requests. Once your bazaar reaches Level 3, Arata will give you the quest “Heavy Work”. In this quest, you need to prepare a high-quality dish to set up Arata’s stall at the bazaar. Besides a beekeeping area for honey production, Arata also sells the Mushroom Log for 10,000 Gold.

You’ll need Shimeji Spores from Mugel, which cost 120 Gold each. Interact with the log to place the spores, and after three days, your mushrooms will be ready to harvest.
